The Advertising campaigns showed the positive effects of community action in India and the importance of women\u2019s identity in the Middle East. Both campaigns were honored by sustainable investors at The 2016 SRI Conference.<\/p>\n<p>Tata Capital from India and a UN Women campaign from Egypt are the 2016 winners of the EthicMark\u00ae Awards (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ethicmark.org\">www.ethicmark.org<\/a>) for advertising and media campaigns that \u201cuplift the human spirit and society.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Advertising is expected to reach $579 billion globally this year. Out of this world-wide information overload, Ethical Markets Media and the World Business Academy announced the winners at the 27th annual SRI Conference on Sustainable, Responsible, Impact Investing in Denver, Colorado in November 2016 (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sriconference.com\">www.sriconference.com<\/a>). Renowned futurist Hazel Henderson, President of Ethical Markets Media and Founder of the EthicMark\u00ae Awards, and Rosalinda Sanquiche, Managing Director, introduced the award-winning campaigns to over 650 investors and investment professionals working to demonstrate the positive impact of marketing to their sustainability mission.<\/p>\n<p>The Non-Profit winner was <strong>Give Mom Back Her Name<\/strong>. For men in the Middle East, it is taboo to say their mother\u2019s name in public. Women become referred to as \u2018The mother of her eldest son\u2019. To eradicate the taboo, UN Women launched on Egyptian Mother\u2019s Day a campaign urging appreciation for a lifetime of love \u201cwith one small gift\u201d: recognizing mothers as incredible individuals, opening a larger, worldwide conversation on women&#8217;s rights and gender equality. <em>\u201cWhere the individuality of women becomes blurred with her &#8220;duties&#8221; in the family, it is this notion that we are aiming to challenge\u201d, <\/em>says Mohammad Naciri, UN Women Regional Director for Arab States.
