{"id":32687,"date":"2021-07-27T20:56:59","date_gmt":"2021-07-28T00:56:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test.greenmoney.com\/2025\/?p=32687"},"modified":"2021-08-28T18:34:29","modified_gmt":"2021-08-28T22:34:29","slug":"b-lab-announces-the-best-for-the-world-2021-b-corps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/test.greenmoney.com\/2025\/b-lab-announces-the-best-for-the-world-2021-b-corps\/","title":{"rendered":"B Lab Announces the Best For The World 2021 B Corps"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"landing-links\"><a href=\"\/august-issue-2021\">&gt;&gt; Back to August 2021 Issue<\/a><\/div>\n<h3><em>Recognizing the companies globally that are operating at the highest level of stakeholder-driven businesses<\/em><\/h3>\n<p>In July, B Lab announces\u00a0the\u00a0Certified B Corporations (B Corps) that have achieved the distinction of\u00a0<em><strong>Best for the World\u2122<\/strong><\/em><strong>\u00a02021 <\/strong>companies.\u00a0B Lab&#8217;s\u00a0<em>Best for the World<\/em>\u00a0recognizes\u00a0the B Corps globally whose B Impact Assessment (BIA) scores rank in the top five percent of their company size track across one or more of the\u00a0five impact areas evaluated on the BIA\u2014community, customers, environment, governance, and workers.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<em>Best for the World<\/em>\u00a0recognition is administered by B Lab, the global nonprofit network that certifies and mobilizes B Corps, which are for-profit companies that meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. Today there are more than 4,000 B Corps across 77 countries and 153 industries, unified by one common goal: transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet.<\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1622053269469-0\" class=\"ad-float-left\"><script>\ngoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1622053269469-0'); });\n<\/script><\/div>\n<p>B Corps meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. The B Corp Certification doesn\u2019t just evaluate a product or service, it assesses the overall positive impact of the company that stands behind it. Using the B Impact Assessment, B Lab evaluates how a company\u2019s operations and business model impact its workers, community, environment, and customers. To achieve the B Corp Certification, a company must achieve a score of at least 80 points on the assessment.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Best for the World is a special program for the B Corp community, and we&#8217;re thrilled to resume it after pausing the program in 2020 due to COVID-19,&#8221; <\/em>said Juan Pablo Larenas, Executive Director of B Lab Global. &#8220;<em>This year&#8217;s Best for the World companies are operating at the very top of their class, excelling in creating positive impact for their stakeholders, including their workers, communities, customers and the environment.
